Privacy

Ballpark is run by Idistic, the product studio of TWINDLE NEDERLAND B.V. (the Netherlands). We collect as little as possible and nothing that identifies you.

Your progress

Rounds in progress, results, streaks and settings are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device, under keys starting with bp1:. They are not sent to our servers, and there is no account. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.

Stream mode and room guesses

Names and guesses you type in for other people in stream mode stay in the open page’s memory only. They are never stored, never sent anywhere and disappear when you move to the next question or close the page. Ballpark does not connect to Twitch, YouTube or any other chat service.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool we host ourselves at stats.idistic.com. It sets no cookies and builds no profile. Besides page views it counts a few events: a visit started, a round started or finished (with the round type and the total score), a question skipped, a result shared, an archive day opened, stream mode started (with the chosen options) and a link to another Idistic site followed. Your individual guesses are never sent.

Offline play

To load quickly and work offline, your browser keeps a copy of the pages and scripts. This copy stays on your device.

Hosting

The site is hosted on a server in Germany (Hetzner). Like every web server, it briefly processes your IP address to deliver the page. Ballpark makes no other requests: no ads, no third-party fonts or images. Source links on the reveal open other sites only when you choose to follow them.
